Trick Out Your Off Road Ride With These Three Cool Add Ons

Posted on

One of the joys of owning an off road truck is that you get to accessorize it with all sorts of cool looking, and practical things. Your main car might need to be a bit sedate because you can't roll up to the office with something that stands out among the sedans and other pedestrian-looking cars. But on the weekend, when you hit the trails, you can have all the fun you like driving a tricked out off-road truck. Here are a few really cool ways to customize your truck to make it look really cool.

Off-Road LED Light Bar

One of the most iconic accessories for any off-roading vehicle is hood lighting. In the old days, you would have to be content with the circular, halogen style bulbs that were manually adjusted. These were large, and had the drawback of only shining one color. They were practical, though, in that they illuminated the trails. Now, however, you have the option of using an LED light bar. These can be added to the roof and have a much nicer profile (they don't stick up like big, bug eyes). Plus, if you want to, you can get an LED lighting system that will change colors. So, if you're looking for a cool purple light, or neon green, to make your truck look cool while you're driving on the way to the trails, you can light it up and cruise down the road.

Chrome Winch

A winch is a very essential part of any serious off-roading setup. You don't want to end up stuck in a ditch, not able to get out. With a winch, you can simply hook up to a nearby boulder or tree and pull your truck out. To make it look really flashy on your car, opt for a chrome winch. These look cool and function as a decorative touch in addition to being practical.

Body Bumpers

You want to protect your truck and your winch from smashing into trees, shrubs, or dirt embankments. The best way to do this is to get some body bumpers installed. You can get plain black rubber body bumpers, but you might also like the sculptured rubber body bumpers that has fun designs carved into them (anything from flames to lightening bolts). So, in addition to protecting your truck, they will make it look super cool while you're parked in a gas station lot of just lined up for mudding with your friends and their trucks.
